National Level Webinar and Paper Presentation Competition on ‘Science for Sustainable Future’

Day 1: National Webinar

The programme started with a prayer. Student coordinator, Ms. Niha Padmanabhan welcomed everyone to the gathering. Dr. Jessy N. C head of the institution, delivered presidential address. Dr. M. K Satheesh Kumar, Visiting Scientist of Manipal Academy of Higher Education inaugurated the Webinar and delivered an inaugural address on the topic “ Raman Effect : A Giant Leap for Science in India”. The talk was both simple in words and concept so that it effectively reached the participants of different disciplines. The webinar was dealt on Raman Effect and development of Indian science and technology. The webinar also described about history of different scientists and various science institutes of India. An interactive session was held which was very active and live.Presentation of the Technical Session was given by Prof. Kana.M.Sureshan, Dean of IISER Trivandrum. He mainly dealt with the topic “Science and Society”. It was followed by an interactive session.
The result of preliminary round of paper presentation competition was announced in between the programme. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms.Shyona Stephen. The whole programme was announced and embellished by Ms.Christeena Raju, Ms.Saranya.L and Ms. Aswathy.N.V.
Stage 2
Day 2: National Level Paper Presentation Competition
Date:28th February 2022
Time: 1.30pm to 4.30 pm
Venue: College Auditorium
Around 15 Teacher Students presented their paper in the competition. The session was chaired by Mrs. Vismaya, faculty member of P.K.M College of Education. Dr.Uma Nambiar, renowned academician and Mr.John.P.T, former Librarian of P.K.M College of Education, were the members in the judging panel.
A documentary was presented and the programme came to an end with a valedictory session. The programme started with a prayer. Student coordinator, Ms.Elsitta Jose welcomed everyone to the gathering. Dr. Prasanth Mathew, Vice Principal of the institution, delivered presidential address. Valedictory address was delivered by Dr. Uma Nambiar and Mr. John. P. T felicitated over the programme.Ms. Christeena Raju presented the report of the programme. “Best Paper Award” and “Best Paper Presenter Award” were declared by Dr.Prasanth Mathew. Dr. Jessy. N. C distributed Certificates to the participants and Ms.Delna.T.S delivered the vote of thanks. The whole programme was announced by Ms. Rosha. B. Roy.
