Prof. Kandoth Memorial College of Education,Madampam was established in 1995 as a self financing institution and was converted into an aided college in 1997. This temple of learning is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and named after Prof. Joseph Kandoth, who was an educational visionary, social reformer and a zealous missionary. He initiated the historical migration of Kananaya Catholic Community which in its turn changed the social and economic history of Malabar. It is the realization of the cherished dream of the Knanaya Community under the leadership of the founder patron Mar Kuriakose Kunnacherry, the former Arch bishop of Kottayam and Msgr.Stephen Jayaraj OFM,Cap, the founder manager. 2019-’20 was the Silver Jubilee Year of the college.
