CRACKET:The Free Online Coaching Programme

CRACKET- the free online coaching programme was inaugurated by Mar. Joseph Pandaarasheril, the manager of P.K.M College of Education. The coaching program was organised by the social science department of the college in association with Placement Cell and IQAC.

The programme aimed in providing free SET and TET coaching during the COVID pandemic.

Sri. George Thomas, the director of Brilliant Study Centre, Pala was the chief guest of the inauguration programme presided over by Dr.Sr.Jessy N.C, College Principal. College Local Manager Fr. Luke Puthirkayil, College P.T.A Representative Sri.K.J Janardhanan, Sainaba Memorial College Principal Dr. M.K Neena , Alumni Association President Mr. Nithin Nangoth and Programme Coordinator, Dr. Veena Appukuttan felicitated in the function. The vote of thanks was given by Student Coordinator Vishnu Pratap.

Programme Structure

The coaching program consists of 45 mock series . In a week from Monday to Saturday, mock tests consisting of 20 questions including the six subjects (according to the SET, CTET and KTET syllabus) are conducted. On Sundays, mock exams including 120 questions taken from the tests of that week were conducted and the students topping the exam were congratulated through the WhatsApp groups. The rank lists were also published for the model exams.

Working Committee

The 9 student teachers of the Social Science Department worked as the executive and coordinating committee in the working committee of CRACKET with College Principal Dr Jessy N.C as the Chairman and H.O.D of Social Science Dept. Dr Veena Appukuttan as the Vice Chairman.

One day SET/TET Orientation and Psychology Class

An expert talk by Brennen College Teacher Education Centre General Education Associate Professor, Dr Arun Kumar was organised by team CRACKET. 100 students participated in the class which was set up in Zoom Application. Around 400 students got the opportunity to listen to the expert talk through YouTube Platform.

Programme committee meetings

4 executive body meetings were arranged on the following dates :27/06/21, 07/07/21, 15/07/21, 24/07/21 with the aim of analysing the various activities of the coaching programme.

Valedictory Ceremony

The first session of the 45 day long coaching programme conducted by team CRACKET prior to the SET exam came to an end on 13/08/2021 and the valedictory ceremony was conducted on 19/08/2021. The efforts of executive members were appreciated and applauded in the ceremony presided over by the College Principal. The executive members shared their experiences working in the Coaching programme and the Vote of Thanks was expressed by Programme Coordinator Dr Veena Appukuttan.
