Inauguration of Short-term Training Program on STEM Education for Teachers and Student teachers

P.K.M. College of Education, Madampam, in association with Srishti Robotics Technologies and IEEE OES, Student Chapter of KMEA Engineering College, Kochi, is organizing a short-term training program on STEM Education for teachers and student teachers from April 3-7, 2025. The training program was inaugurated by Irikkur MLA Adv. Sajeev Joseph on April 4 at 3 PM at PKM College of Education. Twenty student teachers are participating in the training program, led by Mr. Sunil Paul, CEO of Srishti Robotics Technologies.
The event was presided over by the college principal, Dr. Jessy N C. In her address, she emphasized the significance of STEM education as highlighted in the National Education Policy (2020) and how such training can empower teacher trainees to confidently enter and contribute to this field in the future. Dr. Prashanth Mathew, Vice Principal of the college, Head of the Physical Science Department, and Director of the STEM Education Training Program, delivered the welcome speech.
