International Yoga Day Celebration

P.K.M. College of Education, Madampam, and Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Payyavoor, jointly celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2024, Friday, The event began at 10 AM and was welcomed by Mrs. Bindu Joseph, C.P.O. of the School S.P.C. The school headmaster, Mr. Biju Simon, presided over the program. Anil Kumar K., the S.P.C. Drill Inspector at Sacred Heart H.S.S. Payyavoor, conveyed Yoga Day greetings. The celebration included a PowerPoint presentation on the importance and benefits of yoga by Miss. Jyothis Thomas, a teacher trainee from P.K.M. College. This was followed by a half-hour practical yoga session conducted by Mr. Vishnu Krishnan, another teacher trainee from P.K.M. College. The event was attended by 43 students, members of the S.P.C., Scouts, and Guides. The Yoga Day celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by S.P.C. cadet Drishy Saji.
