“IPR and the Academic Community: Challenges and Opportunities”

On January 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM, PKM College of Education hosted an enlightening webinar on the topic “IPR and the Academic Community: Challenges and Opportunities” through the Zoom platform. The event was organized in collaboration with the Social Science Department, Debate Club, and IQAC.

Dr. Veena Appukuttan, serving as the staff coordinator, extended a warm welcome to all the participants. The inauguration of the webinar was conducted by Dr. Prasanth Mathew, the Vice Principal of the institution.

Athira Shaji, the student representative, introduced the esteemed resource person, Dr. G. Geethika, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Union Christian College, Aluva. Dr. Geethika’s presentation on the fundamental aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) proved to be highly creative and thought-provoking, providing valuable insights to all attendees.

The interactive session that followed was particularly engaging, with Dr. Geethika addressing and clarifying all the queries and doubts raised by the enthusiastic students.

The webinar concluded on a note of appreciation and gratitude, as Mr. Vishnu Prathap M, the Student Coordinator, expressed a heartfelt vote of thanks. The event proved to be an invaluable platform for the academic community to gain a deeper understanding of IPR, its challenges, and the opportunities it presents.
