Global Recognition for P.K.M. College of Education

In connection with World Ozone Day 2025, P.K.M. College of Education gained global recognition for its activities conducted as part of the “From Science to Global Action” campaign organized by the Ozone Secretariat of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of “The Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer.” P.K.M. College of Education is the only higher education institution from India featured on UNEP’s official website for its World Ozone Day 2025 activities. As part of the UN’s “From Science to Global Action” campaign, renowned atmospheric scientist and adjunct professor at the Department of Atomic and Molecular Physics, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dr. M.K. Satheesh Kumar, as a campaign representative, inaugurated the Ozone Day activities and conducted a resource talk on the topic “Can Ozone be Considered as a Trace Species Exhibiting Dual Role?” Dr. Megumi Seki, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Ozone Secretariat, had conveyed her appreciation for the Ozone Day celebration held at the college on 16th September 2025.
