Inauguration of ASTRALIS:World Space Week 2024

The inaugural function of the World Space Week 2024 was organised by the Department of Physical Science, P.K.M. College of Education, on October 4, at 9.30 am. in the Multipurpose Hall 1 of the College.

The programme commenced with the welcome speech by Rinu Mariya, Programme Coordinator. The Presidential address was delivered by Dr. Prasanth Mathew, Assistant Professor in Physical Science. The programme was officially inaugurated by Dr. Jessy N C, Principal. The inaugural ceremony included the Declaration of title (ASTRALIS) and the Release of Logo.

A documentary presentation on space missions was screened during the inaugural function, showcasing the achievements in space exploration and development. The programme concluded with the Vote of thanks by Riya Sunil, class representative, Physical Science.

The World Space Week 2024 will feature a range of programmes including, jigsaw puzzle competition for student teachers, creative writing competition for high school students and an interactive session with an invited guest who is a retired Science Educator and also a known Astrophile.
