Prof. V.J. Joseph Kandoth Commemoration & Farewell Meeting

The commemoration of Chevalier Prof. V.J. Joseph Kandoth and the farewell function for the retiring Principal Dr. Jessy N.C. were jointly organized on March 2 at 10 a.m. in the college auditorium. Irikkoor MLA Adv. Sajeev Joseph inaugurated the function. The College Pro-Manager Rev. Fr. Joy Kattiyankal presided over the meeting. His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakatt, Metropolitan Archbishop of Kottayam, delivered the memorial address in remembrance of Prof. V.J. Joseph Kandoth and recalled his valuable contributions. College Vice Principal Dr. Prasanth Mathew delivered the introductory address. Former Chairperson of Sreekandapuram Municipality, Dr. K.V. Philomina Teacher, and Directress General of Caritas Secular Institute, Prof. Sr. Lisy John, delivered words of appreciation. The College Staff Association presented a memento and a token of appreciation to the retiring Principal. Dr. Veena Appukuttan, IQAC Coordinator of the college, delivered the vote of thanks.
Dr. Jessy N.C., who led the college to numerous achievements including three consecutive ‘A’ grades in NAAC accreditation, third rank among teacher education institutions in Kerala (KIRF), the ‘A’ Grade Haritha Kalalayam Award of Kerala Haritha Mission, and the Kerala Government Excellence Award, is retiring after 26 years of teaching service, including 8 years as Principal. Representatives from various fields associated with the college and alumni representatives participated in the function to extend their wishes to Dr. Jessy N.C
