The Commemoration of K.N. Daruwalla

The event was organized on 30th September 2024 by Maverick, the learning community for English teachers, to pay tribute to the legendary poet and writer, K.N. Daruwalla. It was held in the English class cum methodology room at 1:30 PM. The program began with a welcome and introductory speech by Anushma Santhosh, creating a respectful atmosphere for the tribute. This was followed by poetry recitations from Aswathi Sasi and Benat Benny, who presented some of K.N. Daruwalla’s poems, capturing the depth and brilliance of his work.
Dr. Veena Appukuttan, IQAC Co-Ordinator, then delivered a heartfelt eulogy. She spoke about K.N. Daruwalla’s contributions to Indian literature, his major awards like the Padma Shri and Sahitya Academy Award, and his unique poetic voice.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Denilson Vinoy, expressing gratitude to all who helped make the event a success and to everyone who attended the tribute to the legendary poet.
