P.K.M. College of Education Crowned Champions at Kannur University Inter B.Ed. Throwball Tournament

The Kannur University Inter B.Ed. Throwball Tournament was successfully conducted at P.K.M. College of Teacher Education on 13/02/2026. Teams from various colleges participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm and true sportsmanship. The formal inauguration of the tournament was officiated by Dr. Prasanth Mathew, Vice Principal, RUSA Coordinator, and Head of the Department of Physical Science. In his inaugural address, he emphasized the importance of sports activities in the holistic development of students. A total of eight matches were conducted as part of the tournament. In the preliminary rounds, the teams from Government Brennen College of Teacher Education, Jaybees Training College of B.Ed., P.K.M. College of Teacher Education, and Rajeev Memorial College of Teacher Education emerged victorious and advanced to the next stage. In the subsequent matches, P.K.M. College of Teacher Education and Rajeev Memorial College of Teacher Education qualified for the finals. In the thrilling final match, P.K.M. College of Teacher Education delivered an outstanding performance and emerged as the champions. Crescent B.Ed. College secured the runners-up position, while S.N. College of Teacher Education and Malabar B.Ed. Training College shared the third place as the second runners-up. Students of P.K.M. College of Teacher Education won both honours, with Rakendu K.V. named Emerging Player and Bhavana T.V. adjudged All-Rounder. The tournament concluded successfully with the active participation of all teams, excellent coordination, and a high spirit of sportsmanship throughout the event.
