ChatTEA : Human Library-Interaction with V.M. Vimala Teacher

As part of the Reading Month Celebration 2026, PKM College of Education organized an interactive session, “ChatTEA: Chat with Teachers, Experts, and Activists,” under its “Share Your Spare Moment” initiative on 23 June 2026 at 11:30 a.m. The programme aimed to promote reading culture and provide teacher trainees with an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with distinguished personalities from various fields. The session featured V. M. Vimala Teacher, President of the Taliparamba Taluk Library Council, who interacted with the teacher trainees and shared valuable insights on fostering reading habits among the younger generation. She emphasized the need to cultivate a vibrant reading culture and highlighted the role of educators in nurturing lifelong readers. The programme was held in the College Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Dr. Prasanth Mathew, Principal of the college. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by teacher trainee Adithya, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, faculty members, and participants for making the event a success. A special highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Open Library, an innovative initiative aimed at creating a relaxed and reader-friendly environment that encourages students to engage with books during their leisure time.
