In a significant effort to promote legal literacy and empower the local community with essential legal knowledge, P.K.M College, in collaboration with the Taliparamba Legal Services Committee, conducted a comprehensive legal awareness class. The event, held on 27-02-2020, aimed at enhancing the understanding of legal rights and responsibilities among the students. The legal awareness class, organized at the P.K.M College premises, witnessed active participation from community members, students, and faculty alike.

The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Rekha K R. She emphasized the importance of understanding intellectual property rights in today’s fast-paced world, especially for students aspiring to contribute meaningfully to various fields. The event was inaugurated by secretary of Taliparamba Legal Services Committee Mr. Narayanankutty Maniyeri, who emphasized the importance of legal awareness in today’s society. College Principal Dr Jessy N C gave presidential address to the program.

Advocate Sibi, an expert in the field, led the class on topic ‘Intellectual Property Rights’. Mayyil Police Public Relation officer Mr. Rajesh Malapattam gave general legal awareness to the audience. The event concluded with a lively interactive session, during which participants had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications from Advocate Sibi. The class got concluded with Vote of thanks given by student coordinator Siyona Jacob.
