Initiation Ceremony of the B.Ed. Programme (2026–2028)

The official inauguration of the 2026–2028 academic programme of P.K.M. College of Education was held at 11:30 a.m. in the college auditorium. The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Prasanth Mathew. The inaugural function was presided over by the College Manager, Rev. Fr. Joy Kattiyankal, who emphasized the vital role of teachers in shaping a knowledgeable, responsible, and enlightened generation. He encouraged the student teachers to uphold the highest values of the teaching profession and to dedicate themselves to the service of society. The programme was formally inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Reji Scaria, CST, Principal of Marygiri English Medium School, Sreekandapuram. In his inaugural address, he highlighted the need for teachers to adapt to the evolving demands of contemporary education by embracing innovation and qualitative change. He also urged the future educators to become socially committed professionals who can make meaningful contributions to the development of a better and more inclusive society. Felicitations were offered by Mr. Alex P. R., Vice President of the PTA, and Ms. Nandana C., Second-Year Student Representative. The inaugural programme was jointly organized by the Staff Association and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The function concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Veena Appukuttan, Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator.
