LAPTOP FOR ALL-2021

In solidarity with ‘Let us Go Digital’ initiative of Kerala State Higher Education Council; ‘Laptop for All-2021’ created a pool of digital devices with the support of benefactors from abroad and alumni members, that can be borrowed by the needy students.
‘Laptop for All-2021’ was inaugurated on 31st July 2021 at 3:00 pm via Zoom platform. The programme inaugurated by Mar Joseph Pandarasseril, Manager- P.K.M. College of Education. Prof. Dr. K P Suresh, Dean of Education, Central University of Kerala gave keynote address on the theme ‘Digital Learning’. Mrs. P P Divya, President Kannur District Panchayat, announced the college level ‘LET US GO DIGITAL’ Campaign. Dr. Jessey N C, Principal P.K.M. College of Education, presided over the function. Dr. Prasanth Mathew, Project coordinator; Dr. Mariya Martin Joseph, Principal, Mary Matha Arts and Science College, Mananthavady; Mr. Alex Jacob Madathilthazhayil, Representatives of sponsors; Mr. Binoy K, Head Master, Maryland HS, Madampam; Fr. Abin Jose Alumni 2019-21 batch and Mr. Sayooj V V President, Students’ Council shared their valuable words in the programme.
One of the alumni of 1998-99 batch took the initiative to find the benefactors for the project. Mr. M.C. Lukose, USA, Mrs. Shally Thoompanal, USA, Mr. Loius Lukose, UK, Mr. Alex Jacob, USA, Mrs. Lallymol Joseph, USA, Mrs. Reni Grace Jacob, USA were the sponsors who made direct payment to the whole sale dealer and brought six HP i3 Laptops each having a price of ₹ 39000/-. The alumni 2019-21 batch also contributed one smart phone to this project.
Five student teachers of the 2020-22 batch: Anjali R, Adhithya V, Aparna U, Soorya Babu and Ashly Thomas were the beneficiaries of the ‘Laptop for all-2021’ project.
The laptops were given on 4th August 2021 and collected back on 18th March 2022.
