Staff Tour in Connection with the Retirement of Office Staff Mary Joseph

The staff tour of PKM College of Education, Madampam in connection with the retirement of our office staff Mary Joseph commenced on 10th January 2025, departing from the college at 9.30 pm. After a long journey, reached Ooty at 5.30 am. During the day we visited the Ooty tea factory, Botanical Garden and Rose Garden, marveling at the natural beauty and serenity of these attractions. In the evening, we embarked on a thrilling ride on the Nilgiri-Mettupalayam Toy Train from Udagamandalam railway station to Coonoor, an experience that we will never forget.
The next day, that is on 12th January, we arrived in Mysore at 10.00 am. Everyone was so eager to explore the city’s rich cultural heritage and the first stop was Shukavana, followed by visits to the Museum, St. Philomina’s Church, and the majestic Mysore Palace. The evening was devoted to shopping and was followed by a visit to Priya Mathew, Principal of St. Joseph’s Training College, Mysore. After a delightful dinner, we began our return journey, arriving back at the college at 1.00 pm on 13th January.
The staff tour was altogether an incredible experience, providing us with opportunities to bond and create lasting memories.
