Inauguration of the Anti-Drug Campus Protection Army

The inauguration of the Anti-Drug Campus Protection Army was held on 26th June 2025 at 11:30 AM in the Multipurpose Hall of PKM College of Education, Madampam, under the leadership of the NSS unit. The programme began with the NSS song, creating an atmosphere of unity and purpose. Benat Benny, a student teacher, delivered the welcome address, followed by the presidential address by Amin Mathew, Chairperson, who emphasized the importance of student involvement in anti-drug initiatives.
The event was officially inaugurated by Rev. Bro. Johny Joseph CST, Manager of Marygiri English Medium School, who addressed the growing concerns of drug abuse among youth and the proactive role that educational institutions must play. Fr. Sinoj Joseph, NSS Programme Officer, offered the felicitation, acknowledging the efforts of the students and organizers.To reinforce the anti-drug message, students took an anti-drug pledge and participated in a symbolic candlelight ceremony, lighting candles as a mark of their commitment to a drug-free life. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Preethika O., student teacher, who expressed sincere gratitude to all dignitaries and participants.
