P.K.M. College of Education Took Part in SCERT’s State-Level Textbook Revision Discussions

The State-Level Discussion on Higher Secondary Textbook Revision organized by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), along with the announcement of Kerala’s remarkable performance in the National Educational Survey, was held on July 25, 2025, at the Tagore Theatre, Vazhuthacaud, Thiruvananthapuram. Sister Caroline FCC (Minimol George), who serves as the Peace Education Faculty, Cadets of Peace Founder, and a Malayalam faculty member represented P.K.M. College of Education, Madampam. While participating in the discussions on the proposed curriculum framework, Sister Caroline highlighted the significance of incorporating Peace Education into the Higher Secondary curriculum. She strongly advocated for the inclusion of conflict management training to equip students with the skills needed to shift from a culture of violence to a culture of peace. At the same function, the Proceedings of the Kerala School Education Congress 2023, held in April 2023, were formally released by the Hon’ble Minister for General Education, V. Sivankutty. Sister Caroline FCC received a copy of the proceedings on behalf of P.K.M. College of Education. The Kerala School Education Congress 2023 was held from April 1 to 3 at the Kerala Arts and Crafts Village in Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram. Representing P.K.M. College of Education, Madampam, 30 student teachers along with Sister Caroline FCC actively participated in the event and presented 15 research papers.
