Bridge Course & Induction Programme 2025–27

The Bridge Course & Induction Programme for the 2025–27 B.Ed. batch was held from 11th to 26th August 2025. The programme aimed to facilitate a smooth transition into teacher education by acquainting students with the institution, nurturing professional values, and equipping them with the skills and mindset essential for effective teaching and holistic development.  The programme commenced with an inaugural session by Principal Dr. Jessy N.C., who emphasized the importance of pedagogical understanding, classroom management skills, and a deep knowledge of child psychology and development. On 12th August 2025, Teaching Aptitude and Subject Competency Tests were conducted in six optional subjects. These assessments enabled the faculty to design curricular and co-curricular activities based on the needs of student-teachers. On 13th August 2025, a facility visit was organized, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the resources and infrastructure of the institution and familiarizing them with the campus environment. An awareness session on Initiatives of IQAC was led by Dr. Veena Appukuttan, IQAC Coordinator. Dr. Prasanth Mathew, Vice Principal & Associate Professor of Physical Science, delivered a lecture on The Next Generation Teacher in the Context of AI & 21st-Century Skills. Dr. Fr. Sinoj Joseph conducted a session on Physical Education and Yoga, while Dr. Jisha James handled a session on Communication Skills for Teachers. Ms. Deepa John led the Library Orientation Programme, familiarizing students with the facilities, resources, rules, and services of the library. On 18th and 19th August 2025, creative platforms such as Open Stage, Open Mic, and Open Gallery were conducted, giving students opportunities to showcase their diverse talents. On 20th August 2025, a motivational session on “Be the Teacher Who Changes Lives” was conducted by Mr. Nithin Nangoth, an eminent international mentor, columnist, life coach, and corporate trainer. Mrs. Jomol Jose delivered a session on Reflective Teaching and Professional Development, and Ms. Anusha Benny, College Psychologist, engaged the students on The Role of the Teacher as a Counsellor. On 22nd August 2025, an Open Kitchen Programme was organized, in which students enthusiastically prepared a variety of dishes, showcasing their culinary skills. This was followed by the Open Ground Programme led by Dr. Fr. Sinoj Joseph, where students actively participated in indoor activities and fun games, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness.

Overall, the Bridge Course & Induction Programme successfully provided a holistic platform for orientation, skill development, and community building, thereby preparing the student-teachers for their professional journey in education.
