NSS DAY CELEBRATION

NSS Unit 87 of PKM College of Education celebrated NSS Day on 24th September 2025. As an active unit of the college, the observance of the day was marked in three phases. The morning assembly began with reflections on the responsibilities and roles of NSS members, emphasizing that the scheme is designed to extend helping hands to society. Students also highlighted the motto of NSS and explained the meaning of the NSS song to their peers. As part of the celebrations and Swatchhatha Hi Seva programme, a caption writing competition on the theme “Together for a Litter-Free India” was organized at 2.30 p.m. in the Video Conference Room for all student-teachers. This was followed by the Jersey Release Ceremony, titled “Unveiling the Spirit of Service” was organized at 3.45 pm in Multipurpose hall to mark the occasion. The new NSS jersey, symbolizing unity, service, and commitment, was released and distributed by the Principal, Dr. Jessy N.C. In her address, the Principal highlighted the role of NSS volunteers in promoting social responsibility and community development. She also encouraged the students to uphold the values of service and teamwork both within and beyond the campus. The event infused a sense of pride and motivation among the volunteers, reinforcing their dedication to the motto “Not Me, But You.”
