ChatTEA: Human Library – An Inspiring Interaction with Dr. Johnson M.A.

As part of the National Science Day celebrations, the Human Library initiative “ChatTEA” of P.K.M. College of Education organized an inspiring interactive session with Dr. Johnson M.A., a National Award-winning researcher renowned for developing the world’s first LED lighting system powered directly by 230-volt AC supply.Overcoming physical challenges as a polio survivor, Dr. Johnson’s life journey stands as a remarkable testimony to resilience, determination, and scientific excellence. During the session, he shared his experiences in research, innovation, and perseverance, motivating students to pursue their goals with confidence and commitment. The programme was presided over by the Principal, Dr. Jessy N.C., and was inaugurated by the Sreekandapuram Municipal Chairman, Adv. E.V. Ramakrishnan. In addition to the interactive session, a hands-on workshop on assembling LED bulbs was also conducted. The workshop provided participants with practical exposure to LED technology, enabling them to understand the technical aspects of bulb assembly and encouraging innovation and skill development. The programme proved to be both enlightening and practically enriching, fostering scientific temper and experiential learning among the students.
