Study Tour to Ooty – 2024–2026 Batch

P.K.M. College of Education, Madampam organized a study tour to Ooty, one of the most popular hill stations in India, for the 2024–2026 batch students from 17 March 2026 to 19 March 2026. The tour was arranged with the objective of providing students with a refreshing learning experience that combined recreation with educational exposure. The tour was conducted under the guidance of faculty members, ensuring discipline, safety, and the active participation of students. During the tour, students visited several important locations, including the Government Botanical Garden to explore its rich plant diversity and educational value. They also visited the Benchmark Tea Factory and a chocolate factory to understand local industrial processes and the regional economy. Recreational and environmental learning experiences were also included through visits to the Tamil Nadu Tourism Boat House, Pine Forest, and Wenlock Downs, which offered insights into the natural ecosystem, scenic landscapes, and tourism significance of the region. The students departed from the college at 9:00 PM on 17 March 2026, undertook an overnight journey to Ooty, and returned safely to the campus by 3:00 AM on 19 March 2026. The programme was well planned, ensuring effective time management and coverage of all scheduled destinations. Overall, the study tour was a meaningful and enriching experience that successfully achieved its objectives and contributed to the holistic development of future teachers.
