As envisaged by National Educational Policy (2020) to promote quality Research in Higher Education System and for the attainment of targets of Atma -Nirbhar Bharat (Self-reliant India) by integrating Research, Innovation and Technology Development P.K.M. College of Education established Research and Development Cell to create a research and innovation ecosystem in the Institution.

The Next Generation Teacher Education at PKM; the megaproject designed in the context of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals aims to develop Teachers as Research Undertakers.

The RD cell promotes researches in Education addressing the social, moral, environmental and health issues. As a teacher education institution focusing on quality education designs innovative pedagogical and theoretical models for solving educational problems at different levels through a collaborative effort among student teachers and teacher educators.
