Breast Cancer Awareness Programme

As part of the Pink Month observance, PKM College of Education, in association with the NSS Unit and the Malabar Cancer Care Society, Kannur, organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme on 13th October 2025. Dr. Harsha Gangadharan, Medical Officer, Malabar Cancer Care Society, led an informative session highlighting the causes, symptoms, and treatment options of breast cancer, with a special focus on early detection and preventive measures. Dr. Jessy N. C., Principal, extended a warm welcome to the resource person and underscored the importance of spreading awareness about breast cancer among students and faculty. The programme, held as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aimed to sensitize the academic community about the significance of timely diagnosis and healthy lifestyle practices in combating breast cancer.
