PRE – INTERNSHIP ORIENTATION PROGRAMME – 2024-26 Batch – From 12-06-2025 to 01-07-2025

The Pre–Internship Orientation Programme for the 2024–26 B.Ed. batch was held from 12th June to 1st July 2025, aiming to equip student-teachers with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary for their school internship. The programme commenced with a session by Dr. Prasanth Mathew on the objectives and expectations of the internship. Dr. Maya J Pillai discussed the practical application of learning theories, while Ms. Jomol Jose sensitized students to school culture and ethics. Dr. Sholy Joseph K provided insights on framing learning objectives and assessments, and Ms. Jomol Jose also guided students on integrating technology into learning aids and records . Fr. Sijo Thaliyath conducted a hands-on session on media in education. On 24th June, Mr. Libin K Kurian elaborated on transformative pedagogy in the revised Kerala curriculum, followed by sessions by Dr. Veena Appukuttan on working with school programme orientation and inclusive practices, co-facilitated by Ms. Jomol Jose and Dr. Jisha James. On 25th June, Dr. Sinoj Joseph trained students on handling physical education classes, and Dr. Prasanth Mathew introduced action research and reflective journals. Ms. Anusha Benny, College Psychologist under the Jeevani initiative, led impactful sessions on identifying student distress (26th June) and fostering belongingness (1st July). The programme concluded with TEJAS – the Internship Blessing Ceremony, inaugurated by Dr. Prasanth Mathew and graced by alumna Mrs. Mariza Markose. Faculty members extended prayers and blessings, and the ceremony instilled in student-teachers a sense of purpose, readiness, and spiritual grounding as they embarked on their internship journey.
