The Electoral Literacy Club meets civic engagement with education. This club is dedicated to promoting awareness, understanding, and active participation in the electoral process among the college community. It believes in empowering students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become informed and responsible citizens.
Raise awareness about the importance of electoral literacy and its role in shaping a vibrant democracy
Organize workshops, seminars, and resource talks to educate students about the electoral system, voting procedures, and the significance of civic participation
Conduct voter registration drives to ensure that every eligible student is registered and ready to exercise their right to vote.
Facilitate open forums, debates, and discussions on political issues, encouraging diverse perspectives and critical thinking.
Organize mock elections to provide students with a hands-on experience of the voting process and foster a sense of civic responsibility.
Establish connections with local election authorities to provide students with insights into the electoral process and promote community engagement.
Develop and implement programs that focus on civic education, emphasizing the importance of responsible citizenship beyond election periods.
Engage the college community through social media campaigns, sharing relevant information, updates on elections, and inspiring stories of civic engagement. Stay tuned for exciting events and activities throughout the academic year, including voter awareness campaigns, panel discussions, and collaborations with local organizations working towards civic engagement.
