Anti Ragging Committee

The aim of constituting Anti-Ragging Committee in the college is to ensure a ragging free campus and to take action against those who violate the policies of the committee concerning ragging. The committee also supervises the work of the Anti-Ragging Squad appointed in the institution. As per the order of Supreme Court of India and subsequent Notification from University Grants Commission (UGC), those who are found guilty with the offense of ragging are dealt by the committee as it ought to be. In align with the rules regarding this matter, any act of indiscipline, teasing, dealing rudely with other students of the college, any act of physical abuse causing assault, harm or danger to health will not be tolerated, they rather have to go through the disciplinary actions. Any Act of verbal abuse, emails, SMS or public insult etc. is strictly prohibited according to the law. The committee takes disciplinary action on those who cause any act violating right to the human dignity, especially kidnapping, molesting or committing unnatural offenses, use of criminal forces or any other type of bullying. The students found guilty of ragging in the campus or even outside the campus shall be liable to punishments.

Objectives

• To advise/counsel the senior students in the class rooms and hostels not to involve in ragging
• To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
• Too promptly and stringently deal with the incidents of ragging brought to notice.
• To generate an atmosphere of discipline by sending a clear message that no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging shall not go unnoticed and unpunished.
• To display the important factors of anti-ragging act including the punishments at different important places.
