Library Advisory Committee

PKM College has a well-equipped Library which has thousands of good books of various fields. As per the requirement it has formed a Library Advisory committee in order to look into the matters of the proper functioning of the Library. It caters to the needs of the faculty, students, institute administrators as well as non-teaching institute staff. The committee has framed certain rules and regulations for the smooth working of the Library to enhance books and reading accessibility to all. It also checks in to provide the best possible infrastructure needed for the Library. In order to meet all these objectives Library advisory committee is formed and they do work with dedication for its progress.

Objectives

• To advise the library on policy matters in relation to services, resources and facilities.
• To set guidelines for the further improvement and development of the library.
• To provide a platform to raise and discuss initiatives in the provision of library and information services
• To monitor the proper functioning of the library
• Advises the library regarding library services, especially innovation, for the college community
• Discuss and evaluate budgetary issues for books, journals, databases, e-resources etc.
• To support the library’s efforts in ensuring responsibility in the provision of library collections.
• To ensure the library is connected with and supports the College’s academic programs.
• To facilitate communication between the Library and the community it serves
